Summer Programs for Elementary School-Age Children

The library will sponsor 5 weeks of free professional performances. These 45 minute to an hour-long programs are designed for an elementary school age audience, but the whole family is welcome. All library programs are free & open to area children and their caregivers.

 

Wilderness Performances will be Tuesdays at Locust Grove Elementary School at 3:00.
Gordonsville Performances will be Wednesdays at the Gordonsville VFW in June and at Gordon-Barbour Elementary School in July.  All Gordonsville performances will be at 1:00.
Orange Performances will be Wednesdays at Orange Elementary School at 3:15.

 

June 21/22 Wes Iseli & Party Magic kick off the Summer Reading Program with a 45 minute magic show complete with balloon animals!


June 28/29 Orange's very own Sully Carter returns with Traveler's Tales, stories from around the world guaranteed to entertain. 


No programs the week of July 4th


July 12/13 Put on your goggles! This week Mad Science brings us Spin, Pop, Boom. Learn the science behind some of your favorite magic tricks. See miraculous spinning flasks, hear wondrous sounds from a flaming Didgeridoo and watch water that disappears-or does it?


July 19/20 The Wildlife Center of Virginia presents: Whoo’s Awake in the Night, featuring various nocturnal animals.


July 26/27 Bug Box will bring all sorts of exciting insects and anthropods.
